webpack性能优化

webpack是当下前端界中最著名的一个模块加载工具,reactvue也都是用其作为项目的开发工具之一。小组最近在二次开发一个开源项目,前端主要使用的技术栈试react+redux+es6。构建工具则采用的是webpack。起初整个项目的2707 modules打包花费时长大概有112s,经过对一番折腾,使整个打包编译时间降到40s左右。

下面是整个项目的webpack.config.js文件,可以参考这个文件进行下面的阅读。

webpack编译缓慢一直是现代化前端开发的一个痛点。社区中很多优秀的开发者都贡献出非常多的插件来视图解决这个问题。下面就将本文中用到的插件抛出,在下面这几个插件的配合下,编译速度会得到显著的提升。

  • happypack: 让loader以多进程去处理文件,借助缓存机制,可以在rebuild的时候更快
  • webpack.DllPlugin: 优先构建npm的第三方包
  • webpack.DllReferencePlugin: 只负责用来引用由webpack.DllPlugin生成的第三方依赖项
  • webpack-parallel-uglify-plugin: 并行压缩javascript文件(生产环境中使用,可以显著的提升构建速度)

下面就对这些插件以及我踩下的坑进行一个简单的介绍。

happypack

happypack允许webpack并行编译多个文件来提升构建速度。但是在某些情况下,其提升的效果并不是十分明显,这个时候就需要看一下自己电脑的cpu占用率,以及进程的运行情况。

happypack作为webpack的一个插件,所以在使用之前应该先安装。

配置过程很简单,只需要在plugins选项中创建其实例,可以创建一个或多个,然后在loader中引用即可。只需要注意一点,当创建多个happypack的实例的时候,给每个实例传递一个id参数。基本的变动如下:

大概意思就是,happupack的版本是3.1.0,对babel-loader开启了四个线程并从缓存中加载了627个模块。

webpack.DllPluginwebpack.DllReferencePlugin

这两个插件在使用的时候,还是有几个小坑的,下面就会为大家讲述几个。

先说一下基本的用法,官方推荐在使用的时候,我们需要写两个webpack配置文件。其中一个配置文件主要用于webpack.DllPlugin插件进行第三方的预打包,另一个则是主webpack配置文件,在其中使用webpack.DllReferencePlugin插件引用第三方生成的依赖模块。

所以,我们其中一个配置文件可以命名如下:ddl.config.js

接下来,在我们进行webpack的正式打包之前可以先来一个预打包,运行如下命令:

webpack --config ddl.donfig.js

命令结束之后,我们可以在BUILD_PATH下面生成了一个vendors.dll.js(具体的名称根据你的配置而来)以及根目录下面的manifset.json文件。打开这个文件,可以看到webpack.DllPlugin插件为每个第三方包都生成了一个唯一的全局id。

上面的这个插件的配置有几个需要注意的地方,
output.library属性是必须的,同时
webpack.DllPlugin参数对象的
name属性和其保持一致。更详细的配置可以参考文档。

预打包之后,我们需要对我们的主webpack.config.js文件做如下改动。

  1. vendors.dll.js文件一定要在引入我们的html文件中,而且在引入模块文件之前引入,否则你会看到这个错误。

  1. 当你遇到这个错误,别灰心,接着找解决方法。原来,还真有,就是下面即将介绍的这个插件:add-asset-html-webpack-plugin

。这个插件的主要作用就是将我们自己的静态文件插入到模版生成的html文件中。所以需要对webpack.config.js作出如下的改动。

这个插件的用处十分的强大,并行压缩javascript,配置也十分简单,参考官方文档就能知道怎么使用,如我们的配置文件就做了如下的变动。

除了上述的几个可以优化的地方,还有很多一些小点可以进行优化,比如:

  1. css-loader在0.15.0之后的版本打包时间明显增长
  2. 我们也可以适当的缩短一下模块的查询路径等
