104. Maximum Depth of Binary Tree

题目

Given a binary tree, find its maximum depth.

The maximum depth is the number of nodes along the longest path from the root node down to the farthest leaf node.

解析

// Maximum Depth of Binary Tree
class Solution {
public:

    // Time Limit Exceeded
    int maxDepth1(TreeNode *root) {

        if (!root)
        {
            return  0;
        }

        return (maxDepth(root->left) > maxDepth(root->right)) ? (maxDepth(root->left) + 1) : (maxDepth(root->right)+1);
    }

    // 这样写不会超时
    int maxDepth(TreeNode* root) {
        if (root == NULL)
            return 0;
        return max(maxDepth(root->left), maxDepth(root->right)) + 1;
    }
